Adds an extra layer to the mellow mat for our hardwood floors, only downside is that we have to readjust it pretty often because the grip isn’t strong enough for it not to slip which is frustrating but bearable, it doesn’t slide under our feet so isn’t too much of a worry!

This is unreal. I didnt think the rug could get more plush but it does! This underlay makes it next level plush. My kids love it. 2 babies, one learning to stand and the other a toddle daredevil and they both fall CONSTANTLY, but this rug and underlay cushion them every time. My son and I are autistic and there is nowhere we would rather sit or lie than on this rug. Thank you!

Makes the mellow mat even softer to lie and walk on. Bought to reduce injury for my epileptic son for on the tiles in an area he has previously had a drop down seizure in as he hurt himself quite badly so hopefully this will cushion the blow if he has another seizure.

We came back & purchased the underlay & so glad we did! It makes a noticeable difference. Highly recommend if you have young children <5 who are learning to crawl, walk or if you have an active 3 yo boy who loves to run, crash & tumble! Also amazing to lay on for those harder nights where you sit with your kids at bedtime or are up during the night.

Currently haven't needed it yet. The mellow mat came a few months ago and has been soft enough on top of carpet without the underlay. However if we move the mellow mat onto our wood floors we'll probs use the underlay

Again I thought this was all memory foam (slow rising) but it’s not. It’s normal foam that’s thick. It’s still good but not save enough for a toddler to throw there head back (my 2 year old cried).

This is our second Mellowmat & we are obsessed. The entire family prefers to lay on the floor now. We have one room with a Mellowmat underlay & one without. If you are unsure if it’s worth it, let me promise you it is worth it. We are yet to have a person come to our home and stand on the mat and not go and purchase one for themselves.

We lived our mellow mat before getting the extra underlay padding but now it's extra squishy and soft. I only wish the underlay was a bit bigger because the space unpadded around the outside of the mat seems to still be a hot spot for falls. The centre is amazing for tumbles though.

The underlay makes the mat extra squishy and comfy. Finding it so good for my toddler and baby to hang out on. My toddler often jumps off the couch on to it. And so comfy for getting down and playing with the kids. The only thing i do find is sometimes the underlay and mat slip around.. but my floor is extra slippery laminated floorboards so i'm not suprised. I usually just tuck the mat under the couch a little anyway
